Students of all ages
are welcome to play MedMyst, an interactive, learning adventure. As you
enter a futuristic world, you will help solve medical mysteries in
infectious diseases.
Medical Mysteries
is a problem-based adventure game that engages you, the player, in the
role of scientist, historian, and detective. There are three missions,
each with its own learning objectives. The knowledge gained from each
mission will help you understand how infectious diseases are spread.
This Project
was developed by The Center for Technology in Teaching and Learning at Rice University through
a Science Education Partnership Award from
the National Center for Research Resources, National Institutes of Health, and an R25 grant from the National Institute of Allergy and
Infectious Diseases.

Research
results based on the implementation of the Medical Mysteries web adventure series as a teaching tool have been published by several sources.
